The agency recently completed a study of its Information Technology organization and has identified a future state organizational model. VIE was recently selected to help the Department of Revenue transition from the current to the future state.
VIE assisted the IT management team by creating a timeline for the transition, identifying key processes that need to be defined or improved, preparing job descriptions for new roles, working with HR to classify positions and raising the performance standards of the organization. VIE served as an effective resource to Revenue’s IT leadership as they work through the transition and establish a more flexible, business responsive organization. The result will benefit all Oregonians by creating an IT organization better able to leverage technology for meeting the challenges of tax administration.
VIE was hired to assist DOR with an IT Transformation effort to help support the agency’s goals of Tax Administration in the 21st century. The goals of the IT Transformation effort included improved customer service, increased overall efficiency, raising additional revenues for state general funds, increasing tax administration flexibility and increased employee productivity.
Recently, VIE was hired by the Dept. of Revenue to conduct a security assessment of its Tax Payer Self-sufficiency program. Read about our contribution here..
